Meghauli Serai

Meghauli Serai is located on the banks of the Rapti river amongst thick Sal forests and tall grasses. This National Park is one of the last surviving natural ecosystems in the Terai region and is wedged between the Narayani and Rapti rivers in the north and the Reu river and Churia hills in the south.

Established in 1973 and declared a World Heritage Site in 1984, Chitwan National Park covers 932 sq. km. of lush forest, and is home to many unique species of animals that thrive in its rich ecosystem. Meghauli Serai is located on the banks of the Rapti river amongst thick Sal forests and tall grasses.Our luxury safari lodge has the distinction of being the habitat for the rare one-horned rhinoceros, as well as being home to around five hundred and fifty different species of birds, and one of the few known breeding sites of the endangered spotted eagle.
