Dakshinkali Temple

Arranged a good ways off of 22 kilometers from Kathmandu, the Dakshinkali Temple is found just a kilometer away from the town of Pharping. The spot of love is one of the main sanctuaries in Nepal and is committed to the savage and dreaded Goddess Kali. The notoriety of this sanctuary lies in its ceremonies and conventions. Two times every week, creatures are relinquished at this strict spot - uncastrated male goats and cockerels specifically – as a contribution to the savage mate of Lord Shiva. The sanctuary was inherent in 1855 by Rani Rashmoni, an enthusiast of Kali.

The Dakshinkali Temple gets its name from a compound of the words 'Dakshin', which signifies 'south', and the name 'Kali', which connotes the god that is revered here. The symbol of the Goddess is seen remaining on top of a cadaver, depicting the victory of good over insidiousness. Decorated with a blade in one hand, a skull cap in another, and a cut off head in the third, the four-furnished symbol speaks to a picture of a solid, engaged awesome being who has shown up to overcome evil and develop as triumphant.
