One of the most antiquated Buddhist Temples in Lumbini, which is likewise a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Maya Devi Temple is one of the most notable sanctuaries which is known as the origin of Gautam Buddha. The sanctuary is arranged in the recreation center grounds called the Lumbini Development Zone, it's nonstop improvements making it an absolute necessity visit fascination. 

Maya Devi Temple is found right close to the sacrosanct pool called Pushkarini and a hallowed nursery. This sanctuary denotes the spot where Maya Devi brought forth Gautam Buddha and the archeological remaining parts of this spot go back to the hour of Ashoka, around the third century BCE. Gautam Buddha was said to have been conceived in 563 BC. The sanctuary was planned by Japanese modeler Kenzo Tange in 1978 and the work is as yet under cycle which includes arranged lakes and various religious communities being worked by different draftsmen from everywhere the world. Luckily, none of the landmarks or sanctuaries was influenced by the Nepal tremor in 2015.
